Death Hall

I really wonder how a death row convict would feel while waiting for his “time”? I had a chance to experience it after I portrayed a death convict role in one of our stage plays. Our director have suggested that I might seek some info on a research paper about these people. Well, our director’s idea was really a brilliant one yet I am not that satisfied on a mere academic paper what’s what about these kinds people. I set my foot off on a local prison for an interview on at least a convict to get in touch with how they live their daily life.

Well according to the prisoner I have interviewed, normal convicts like them were like us. They live their life like what we are doing in a free society, only differed by the confinement in a compound intended to implement disciplinary actions. But according also to the same convict, being a death convict is quite much different, imagine being sentenced with a deadline of your own existence. Wow, that’s kinda dreadful. It seems like my eyes have been opened after that interview. I have concluded that everyone deserves second chances.
